Movement & Mocap Coaching
Trine helps performers find freedom in movement to embody characters that are different from their own movement style. Actors need responsive body awareness that goes beyond physical fitness and strength. In order for their bodies to perform efficiently, they need to be malleable and flexible beyond habitual limitations.
Trine has always been a mover, unable to sit still. Luckily, the doctor who was consulted concluded there was nothing wrong with the active and restless "neuro-spicy" child, who just needed physical and mental stimulation!
Trine tried acrobatics, gymnastics and finally landed on modern dance, which provided a livelihood for a time. Later, she studied acting, focusing on physical theater and directing. Throughout her life, she has earned certifications and acquired teaching experience in a wide range of modalities. That list includes Commedia dell’arte, Masks, and Improvisation, Pilates, Gyrotonic, Gyrokinesis, Reiki, Shiatsu, and Myofascial Release. Trine is an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique teacher. Rigidity has no place in performance
Trine teaches movement primarily for performers based on the work of Rudolf Laban, F.M. Alexander and Joseph Pilates focusing on establishing new movement patterns. She teaches online and in-person in Santa Monica. If you are interested, click here to book Trine directly, and here to book on Skillshub.
"Trine and Jarrell’s Mocap Workshop is a favorite. They are expert at putting their experience into practice. We learned about the technical aspects of Mocap, and how to bridge classic acting techniques with Mocap tech. Focusing on my character's physicality, I could see my character come to life. We worked in the Mocap suits, and that’s when it all came together, my work was full of life and heart. I'm now confident and prepared for Mocap work and auditions. Highly recommend." ~ Javier Prusky, VO & Mocap Actor
